Missions:

Seneca Street United Methodist Church is located in a depressed area of South Buffalo. The church is one of only a few organizations that has remained in the area to provide worship and support services for that community. After school programs, winter coat distribution, and financial support for the pastor have been part of Baker's mission work for over 8 years.

Adult missions - Several teams provided mission experiences this past year. One team of over 30 went to Camp Findley for a weekend and rehabilitated several buildings. A second team of 7 went to Gulf Coast where they rehabilitated homes.
Youth group missions- The senior high youth also provides mission experiences.

The congregation has supported several Wycliffe translators around the world and Joanne Peterson, in the Dominican Republic, for many years.

FISH - This is a local food and clothing pantry. It serves al most 100 persons each moth and help is needed with sorting and distribution.

Aurora Day Care - A recreational program for adults (18 and older) who need limited care during the day. This program currently serves elderly clientele.

The Interfaith Hospitality Network is a group of WNY churches that cooperate to assist homeless families. Families are hosted at various church locations until they can find permanent housing.

Baker also collects materials for a variety of relief projects, including Flood Buckets, and hygiene supplies for the United Methodist Committee on Relief.

Samaritan's Purse is a group that provides shoe boxes filled with gifts for children around the world during Christmas. Baker has filled over 200 boxes in the past several years.
