Erie County Senior Services and the Niagara Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association are sponsoring this program which is open to all caregivers and their loved ones who suffer from dementia. Baker Church’s program is based on a social/companionship model where guests diagnosed with dementia participate in individual and group activities; they cannot require any personal medical attention. Social activities (including games, singing, and crafts) and lunch are offered in a fun, supportive, and supervised context which is handicap accessible via elevator. Should you be a dementia caregiver and want your loved one to participate in our free program so that you can take a much deserved break, complete the form below or contact the Church office, (716) 652-0500 or [email protected]. Program volunteers are also needed
Loved ones have the opportunity to participate in crafts with the help from their one on one volunteer.
Lunch, home-made at the church by volunteers, is provided at each session to all loved ones and helpers.
During each session, loved ones can choose from many different activities to engage in. There are also guest performers and community members that provide entertainment that the loved ones can enjoy and participate in.
