Free Respite Care Program for Dementia Caregivers
Erie County Senior Services and the Niagara Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association are sponsoring this program which is open to all caregivers and their loved ones who suffer from dementia. Baker Church’s program is based on a social/companionship model where guests diagnosed with dementia participate in individual and group activities; they cannot require any personal medical attention. Social activities (including games, singing, and crafts) and lunch are offered in a fun, supportive, and supervised context which is handicap accessible via elevator. Should you be a dementia caregiver and want your loved one to participate in our free program so that you can take a much deserved break, complete the form below or contact the Church office, 652-0500, x102 or respitecare@bakerchurch.org. Volunteers to work the program are also needed.
