At Baker UMC we are committed to sharing God's Gifts with our East Aurora Community. One of the ways we do this is through our R.I.D.E ministry. R.I.D.E stands for Reach, Include, Disciple, Engage. R.I.D.E is a new ministry led by church members who have a heart for young families and young adults.
R.I.D.E. is hosting its 2nd Annual March Madness event on Sunday, March 5th, 2023. This will be held in Franz (Fellowship) Hall on the lower level following worship from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. There will be a potluck brunch, a baked goods auction to benefit Seneca Street UMC and fun, interactive games for all ages! Please plan to join us and RSVP to the church office by March 2nd.
In the fall of 2022 R.I.D.E held two community events; in October we held a "Fall-o-ween" event that featured pumpkin decorating, games, and a Trunk-n-Treat in our parking lot for the kids. In December we held our "Journey to Bethlehem" a live interactive event that told the story of the first Christmas when Jesus Christ was born, which included a live nativity scene. R.I.D.E. plans to offer these events annually and is planning other events for 2023. R.I.D.E is also developing a "Parent Respite" program and other ministries for young adults and families. If you have an unfulfilled ministry need in your life, the R.I.D.E group would like to connect with you. For more info on Baker's R.I.D.E ministry please contact the church office at admin@bakerchurch.org or call 716-652-0500.
